We are pleased to announce that Council Member has scheduled an online forum to discuss flooding in our district for Thursday, November 17, 6-8pm. There will be representatives from DEP (Environmental Protection: sewers & stuff) and OEM (Emergency Management: when there's a big problem that DEP can't/hasn't handled...). PLEASE email your questions to [email protected]. They will be moderating the chat for questions, but are looking for questions in advance, so they can have the info we're looking for up front.

We are still advocating for a new bicycle and pedestrian bridge at 5th street to cross over the Gowanus Canal!
We value your thoughts. Should he be demanding a new crossing to better handle the expected increase in people with a new Rezoning?
What design would you like to see?

9 years ago today, tornado downed 9 trees in Ennis Playground
On this day in 2010, strong thunderstorms and a tornado hit Brooklyn, Queens, and Staten Island. While uncommon, tornadoes occasionally occur in New York City, and can occur with little or no warning.
