Thanks to Greenlight Bookstore and The SpeakEasy BookMobile for partnering with amazing author visits for our students, to Julio Anta ebony and Irene Vazquez for sharing their work, and American Library Association for this year’s banned books week theme that inspired our crew banner contest! 📚

📚A love for reading is at the center of every student’s experience at Launch book📚

This week in CREW, students researched banned books — books that some may think are not fit for the classroom and not fit for our students to learn. At Launch, we believe that every student should have access to all knowledge 💭

The incredible, beautiful, creative work that came out of the Banned Book Project and all that was learned is exactly why we do this!!!

“Which teacher made the biggest impact on you during and after your time at Launch?”

Today, some of our Launch middle school alumni came back to the building!! We asked them which teacher made the biggest impact on their time at Launch, and there was no hesitation and struggle to think of one. Our Launch teachers are the very best, and we are so grateful for them!! 💙✨

And a big thank you to our alumni for keeping the Launch community strong even after graduating!!
