This Pride Month, we celebrate the strength, resilience, and joy of LGBTQ+ communities, today and every day. 🌈
At CUCS, we believe everyone deserves to feel safe, supported, and seen for who they are.
We’re proud to stand alongside our LGBTQ+ clients, staff, and community members, and we remain committed to building a more inclusive and equitable New York for all.
Pride is a celebration, but it’s also a reminder of the work ahead, and the power of community in making lasting change.

"It recognizes people's humanity.”
That's how James Holmes, LCSW, Director of the CUCS Academy for Justice-Informed Practice, explains why Crisis Intervention Training matters for police officers.
For ten years, James and his team have led CIT training for the NYPD, equipping officers to navigate difficult situations without resorting to force and to recognize both the people they encounter in crisis and themselves as human beings who may need help, too.
The training covers mental health stressors, substance use, and officer su***de, because crisis response begins with caring for the responders.
