Volunteer Opportunity

It is with great pleasure that we announce Historic Richmond Town will be hosting our annual Uncorked! Food and Wine Festival on Saturday, June 5th, from 12:PM to 5:00PM. The event will include more that 40 wineries, restaurants and breweries, as well as live music and entertainment, set against the backdrop of our historic village.

Fundraising events like this one would not be possible without the help and dedication of community members like you! This outdoor program is fun and fast paced, with many opportunities to volunteer. Below is a list of positions needed for this program.

VOLUNTEER POSITIONS:
Each position includes main duties during the event as well as set up and breakdown responsibilities before and after the event.

Main Gate Admissions - Monitor the flow of guest traffic into the event area, check pre-sale ticket holders using an iphone/ipad app. Welcome guests to the festival, answer general questions and provide directions, maps, and information about the day’s activities. Provide each guest with a wristband and complimentary wine glass, assist in guest/activity orientation.

Hospitality Tents - Help pour wine and other beverages and maintain inventory of all merchandise.

Information Booth - Assist staff members in answering visitor questions and requests, provide directions, maps, and information about the program offerings.

Tavern Terrace - Monitor the flow of foot traffic down into the terrace area, assist with lines, aid staff members in beverage stocking and distribution, answer general questions and provide directions, maps, and information about the day’s activities.

Zone Floater - Monitor pre-designated areas to answer guest questions and provide general info, ensure guests are following COVID-19 safety protocols, respond to radio calls for assistance from staff in other areas of the site, and serve as temporary break coverage.

Parking Lot Attendant - Help ensure the safe and easy flow of traffic in and out of the Courthouse/Visitor Center parking lot.
