This past Sunday, our members alongside Councilman Shekar for City Council, Assemblywoman Catalina Cruz NY, and Majority gathered for a GOTV Letter Writing Party at The Queensboro.
Club members were able to put in the mail more than 300 letters out to swing voters in Pennsylvania, North Carolina, and Michigan.
The upcoming November election is going to take all of us to come together and defend our Democracy.

We had a busy September! Members came together at many events, from the Presidential Debate watch party, to Voter registration drive at Diversity Plaza, to Vote Yes to Prop 1 canvassing with Team AOC. Our Democratic Club has so much more to come. Please stay tuned as we continue to take action towards the November election and defend our democracy!

We're inviting you to our upcoming Voter Registration Drive this Friday, September 20th at 4:15 PM, in partnership with People United For Progress, Catalina Cruz NY, Shekar for City Council, and Steven Raga. A special thank you to our club member Victoria, who has been instrumental in planning this event and will provide expert training on the day.
No prior experience is needed—we'll provide all the necessary materials, including forms, clipboards, and pens, and training will be provided on-site. We hope to see you there!

We joined our allies in signing this letter by New Kings Democrats, calling on Gov Cuomo to make sure every ballot received by June 30, regardless of whether it’s missing a postmark or has an illegible postmark, is counted. Disenfranchising voters, especially from low-income communities of color, would only compound the immense systemic injustices that this pandemic and police brutality have together exposed for everyone to see in the last three months alone.
