🏆 REGIONAL CHAMPIONS!

Congratulations to our Girls Volleyball Team—made up of our amazing middle school student-athletes from both East Harlem Scholars Academies 1 and 2—on becoming the 2026 CSAA JHS Region 2 Champions! 🥇🏐

This season was defined by pure heart, grit, and ex*****on. These girls fought through every tough rally and backed each other up during a fiercely competitive championship run. 💪

📊 Did you know? The Women’s Sports Foundation notes that girls who play sports have higher self-esteem, lower rates of depression, and stronger academic outcomes.

A massive thank you to Coach Coleman, Coach Luckey, and Mr. Cepeda! Thank you for your incredible leadership, commitment, and support throughout the season. You are shaping champions both on and off the court! 👏💙

This year’s Build Love celebration focused on our vital goal of improving literacy and academic excellence for our scholars. Under the leadership of CEO Marina Cofield, we gathered to honor the brilliance of our community, highlighted by Junot Díaz receiving the James Baldwin Award.
We are so deeply grateful to everyone who participated and made the night a success. Because you believe in our students, we raised $1.8 million to fuel our mission! 💰
Thank you for leaning in and choosing to Build Love. If you haven’t joined us yet, it’s not too late to support our East Harlem scholars through the link in our bio. ❤️

The state of literacy amongst our youth is the state of our future.
As part of our Build Love 2026 initiative, EHTP highlighted the localized impact of our work around this topic. The data is clear: the literacy gap is a systemic hurdle facing America's youth. Our response? A dual-pillar approach of academic rigor and deep community support.

In this video, hear directly from EHTP leadership on why literacy is the cornerstone of our 2026 goals. You’ll also see raw interviews with the scholars who are defying the odds every day. We aren't just teaching kids to read; we are ensuring our scholars are fully prepared to lead the world they inherit.

Build Love isn’t just an event to raise money ✨
Last night, the energy was electric as we gathered to celebrate our community’s heart.
Junot absolutely captivated the room, while Leah moved us all to tears with her powerful story and perspective as a student. Her story from kindergarten scholar to high school senior on a full ride to college is exceptional.

Their words reminded us exactly why we do what we do.
Because of your belief and radical generosity, we raised nearly $2 million together! 💰
Every dollar is a building block for a brighter, more supported future.

If you haven’t yet joined our mission to improve literacy for East Harlem students, it’s not too late to show your support. Every gift is a building block for a brighter, more empowered future. Visit www.ehtp.org/build-love-2026 to add your gift.
Thank you for showing up, leaning in, and choosing to Build Love. ❤️

On Friday, some of our seniors shared the exciting news of where they’ll continue their academic careers, and we are filled with pride and admiration. Their hard work and dedication led them to this moment.

They celebrated this milestone alongside their families and teachers, who have supported them every step of the way.

We look forward to all they will accomplish in the years ahead. Congratulations, Class of 2026! 💙

🇬🇷✨ Guided by our belief to “Begin with the end in Mind,” our Class of 2026 seniors’ trip to Greece extended their learning beyond the classroom. Through immersive experiences, scholars explored the roots of history, culture, and critical thought, connecting what they’ve learned to a broader global context while creating lasting friendships and building lifelong bonds. As they approach graduation, opportunities like this help shape them into informed, thoughtful leaders ready to make an impact.

Energy levels: 📈
Our staff at East Harlem Scholars Academy II threw a fun pep rally to shake off the nerves before state testing! 🗣️✨ We turned that testing anxiety into pure scholar power.
Did you know that getting active before a big test actually helps boost your grades? Physical activity increases blood flow to the brain, sharpening focus and memory right when it matters most! 🧠 💙🔥

Proud to celebrate achievements at Scholars Academy II 🌟 Earlier this month we celebrated our scholars who received awards for Perfect Attendance and High Honors, reflecting dedication, consistency, and a strong commitment to academic excellence. The occasion was made even more memorable as it took place during Pajama Day. 💙
