On Tuesday, Oct 13 at NYU Silver School of Social Work(thank you Sarah for checking location different name I believe), the Eisner Foundation hosted its 30th anniversary celebration.  Concerts in Motion is a five time grantee of the Eisner Foundation’s innovative support of intergenerational programs. We were so honored to be featured at this important event.  Our Founder and Executive Director Jennifer Carnahan Glaz was invited to speak about our work and impact, we shared our newest film spotlighting our intergenerational program and CiM Youth Roster Member Wenlu Su shared her testimony and performed (what piece) on a piano donated to NYU by the Sinatra Family.  

The support provided by the Eisner Foundation has been instrumental in strengthening our intergenerational program. As the only U.S.-based foundation exclusively focused on intergenerational solutions to society’s challenges, we are especially honored to be selected as a featured organization at this important event.

With October just around the corner, we have some festive fall concerts coming up this week. Our dementia-friendly concert this week is sponsored by our friends at Eisai.

Our Intergenerational Program embodies the magic of music. The connection that music creates between our student musicians and their audiences is undefinable in many ways and often, best expressed through the music itself.

Did you know that today is World Alzheimer’s Day? We know that music can have a powerful impact on those dealing with dementia, including caregivers! Every Monday we offer a dedicated dementia-friendly virtual concert at 1:00PM. The link to sign-up is in our bio.
