The 2026 event welcomed distinguished guests, members of the Italian and Italian-American communities, and representatives from the worlds of culture, business, and public service to celebrate Italy’s National Day in New York.

The evening featured remarks by our Consul General Giuseppe Pastorelli and welcomed guests including Hon. Di Giuseppe .iovoto, Hon. Di Sanzo , and , alongside national anthems by and performances by , , , and .

From institutional moments to artistic performances and celebrations shared across the Italian community, the evening reflected the many faces of contemporary Italy.

What to do in NYC this June?

From contemporary Italian cinema to Renaissance art, opera, sculpture, and specialty food, June brings a rich calendar of Italian culture across New York.

Highlights include Open Roads: New Italian Cinema at Film at Lincoln Center; History, Italian Style; the Enrico Caruso evening at the Italian Cultural Institute; and the Summer Fancy Food Show with Italian excellence featured in the Italian Pavilion.

On May 11th, the Consulate General of Italy in New York hosted the IÂł/NYC Spring Membership Meeting, bringing together entrepreneurs, innovators, investors, researchers, and members of the Italian tech and business ecosystem for an evening focused on the future of Italian innovation in the United States.

The event also marked the official welcome of Consul General Giuseppe Pastorelli to the I³/NYC community and opened a conversation around the organization’s 2026 strategic roadmap, “Scaling the Bridge”.

From discussions on innovation and international growth to moments of exchange during the networking aperitivo, the evening highlighted the growing role of the Italian diaspora in shaping New York’s entrepreneurial landscape.

A shared vision, a global city, and a community continuing to build bridges between Italy and the U.S.
