Signal 5-5-5-5 has been transmitted, it is with regret the department announce the death of FF Jesse B Gerhard, L-134 which occured February 16th 2022 as a result of injuries sustained while operating at Queens 2nd Alarm box 99-22-1158 which was transmitted at 1605hrs on February 15th 2022.

Tonight on Gettin Salty former Engine 63 member, 21 year FDNY veteran Lt. Steve Gillespie will be the guest! He was Appt. on 4/17/1994 and assigned to Engine 63. In 1996 he transferred to SQ 41. Great guy can’t wait to hear what he has to say!

Today, Lt. Paul Butrim, FF Kelsey Sadler & FF Kenny Lacayo lost their lives in service to our city. FF John McMaster remains in the hospital in critical but stable condition. We will continue to pray for the family of those we lost.

Another great Boss gone, this job is changing drastically!!! Good luck Lt and enjoy your retirement! We’ll hopefully continue to see you teaching upstate! Thanks again for everything and stay safe!
