Hey Everyone! Since tomorrow is Alabama's senatorial election, BYD will be partnering with SGO and Environmental Club to hold a phone bank in room 420 after school for Doug Jones, the candidate running against Roy Moore. Moore has a history of s*xually assaulting teenagers, doesn't believe in climate change, thinks gay s*x should be illegal, and believes that America was at its greatest during slavery. Jones is a great candidate, with liberal platforms. PLEASE JOIN US TO PREVENT MOORE FROM WINNING THIS SENATE SEAT! Even if you can only stay for 10 minutes/make two or three calls, please come! Every call helps.

Virginia's Governor race is a critical election, and any phone call you make can make a huge difference! All of us can take at least 20 minutes of our day to phonebank to help keep Virginia blue!

There will be NO BYD meeting today! However, we encourage you all to attend the pre-inauguration protest outside of the Trump international Hotel today at 6 PM! More information is to come as to our meeting spot for the Women's March this coming Saturday.

Beacon Young Democrats will be meeting tomorrow, after school in room 420. We will be discussing what a Trump presidency means, and we will be writing an open letter to Hillary Clinton. Last night's result, I'm sure, had us all shocked. Now we must discuss and plan for protest. Never has this been more important. I implore you all to attend.

Hey guys! So I know that we said we would have a picnic after school tomorrow, but many people have come up to me this past day to say that they can't make it because of PBAs, which is totally understandable! Because of this, we have decided to cancel tomorrow's picnic. This means that we have no more meetings! I just wanted to say that leading this club has been such an amazing experience and I am so excited for next year!!!! Don't forget about the club- we will start back (strong as ever) next fall, just in time for PRIMARIES!!!

Hey guys! There will be a meeting tomorrow in room 304 as usual! This is an important meeting because we will be choosing our leaders. All people running should be prepared to make a short 3-5 minute speech about why they think they should be elected (you don't necessarily have to write anything, but just start thinking about what you might want to say). As a reminder....
