SWLI's Director Pat Volland receives CSWE's "Distinguished Recent Contributions in Social Work Education Award".

Ms. Volland is being recognized for her extraordinary vision and leadership in social work education, policy, and research efforts to address the critical shortage of social workers trained to work with older adults, their families, and their communities.

Awards will be presented at the Opening Ceremony and Awards Presentation of the CSWE 2012 Annual Program Meeting on Friday, November 9, 2012.

To date Pat Volland and her colleagues at the New York Academy of Medicine have convened the GRECC and local schools of social work in Salt Lake City, UT; Birmingham, AL; and Madison, WI.

Candidate must have some experience with case management as well as individual and family counseling with seniors and their family members in their homes or in office. Experience in providing information and referral to elder care resources, conducting outreach in senior living communities, and co-facilitating support groups required. Some evening hours may be necessary. Maryland LGSW required with emphasis on aging and senior services a plus.
