The celebration of SVG independence continues this weekend with the cultural evening tomorrow Friday 23rd October at Friends of Crown Heights @ 8pm followed by the Luncheon on Sunday at Grand Prospect Hall @ 1pm.

The Consulate of St Vincent and the Grenadines, New York and the Vincy Day Committee wish to congratulate and thank all Vincentians and friends who attended the inaugural Vincy Day USA picnic at the Heckshire State Park on Long Island on Saturday 18th August. We were all part of history as over 5000 persons came together for a Family Day of love and sharing.

It was truly wonderful to behold the spontaniety with which our people responded. It puts a lie to the notion that Vincentians do not unite. Had it not been for the morning showers, we could easily have had 10,000 Vincentians in the park.

We must also thank the Park management for excellent cooperation with so many of us there. It was good, not a single incident. We give God praise and begin to plan for Vincy Day USA 2013. That will be bigger and better. Vincy Day USA 2013. Say, I was there.

The funeral service for tha late Mr. Fred T. Wyllie ( former owner of Wyllie's Shipping)will be held on Thursday July 26,2012 at Woodward Funeral Home on 1 Troy Ave near Fulton St in Bklyn N.Y. Viewing from 2-6pm followed by the service from 6-8 pm.
On Friday morning at 9:30am the body leaves the Woodward Funeral Home for the Pine Lawn Cemetery passing by the home on Rutland Rd. on the way to the Cemetry.
