Manhattan Community Board 4 Manhattan Community Board 4 comprises the area between 14th and 59th streets - to the west of Eighth Av. north of 26th St., and to the west of Sixth Av.

Community Boards have an important advisory role in dealing with land use and zoning matters, the City budget, municipal service delivery and many other matters relating to their communities' welfare. south of 26th St., commonly referred to as the Chelsea and Clinton/Hell's Kitchen neighborhoods. MCB4 is part of the Manhattan Borough Taskforce on Legionnaire's Disease. The first meeting of the taskforce was today with city and state elected officials, community board reps and the Department of Health and Mental Hygiene (DOHMH) who presented an overview of the disease and mitigation protocols. The task force will bring together Manhattan’s elected and appointed representatives so that we can better inform and advocate for residents who may be at risk.

We were happy to join Manhattan Borough President Brad Hoylman-Sigal at the opening of the Manhatttan Immigrant Welcome Center today on 125th Street in Harlem.
This will connect immigrant New Yorkers with free legal, city and social services and help support the transition as families and individuals settle in NYC.
