WIOA New York City
Our vision is to provide quality employment and training services to Native American communities in the New York City Area.
We are the New Jersey/New York Indian Council. We are a private, non-profit agency that promotes the social, economic, and cultural well-being of all tribal communities. We are here to meet the needs of today's American Indian Families, and to serve as a center for cultural, historical, and social exchange. Ultimately, we are building a future for our people based on the Indian Nations' history,

We are writing for support of our REFLECTIONS OF NATIVE VOICES NATIVE THEATER FESTIVAL. This will take place in New York City’s historic Lower East Side’s 4th Street Theater Community. The dates are January 7th – January 19th, 2020. This will coincide with the Annual Association of Performing Arts Professionals (APAP) conference. This is the first of its kind that is run solely by a Native run organization and will take place at the following locations:
LaMaMa Experimental Theater 74 East 4th Street Downstairs Theater NY, NY 10003
New York Theater Workshop 79 East 4th Street Fourth Street Theater NY, NY 10003
Carriage House Annex 225 East 67th Street NY, NY 10065
Through the lenses of creative expression and cultural perseverance, Native performing artists explore original Native material in a cultural exchange involving new plays, directing workshops and song-making. Week 1 will consist of Native Performances, Music, and Theater & Cultural Exchange.
Week 2 will begin 'The Directors Lab’. This will be a week full of programming where Emerging Native Directors will direct staged readings of Native Playwrights.
