On this solemn day, the 22nd anniversary of the tragic events of September 11, 2001, TRR stands in solidarity to honor and remember all those we lost. It is a day etched in our collective memory, forever reminding us of the immense sacrifice made by the brave members of FDNY, EMS, NYPD, and PAPD.
We will never forget the heroism displayed by these selfless individuals, who without hesitation, rushed towards danger to save lives. Their unwavering courage and dedication serve as a constant reminder of the strength and resilience that exists within our first responder communities.
Moreover, we extend our gratitude to the construction trades who tirelessly worked alongside them, searching for survivors and providing support during those dark days, weeks, and months that followed. Their commitment and unwavering determination embodied the spirit of unity and hope in the face of unimaginable devastation.
Let us also remember the countless individuals who were at work that day, going about their daily routines, unaware of the tragedy that was about to unfold. They too deserve our remembrance, for their lives were abruptly taken from us, leaving behind grieving families and shattered communities.
As we pay tribute to those we lost, let us also renew our commitment to fostering a world filled with compassion, understanding, and unity. May we continue to honor the memories of those who sacrificed everything.
Today, we stand together, united in our grief, but also in our determination to build a future that is defined by resilience, love, and peace.
