This past week, we kicked off our program's Intensive Summer Institute and welcomed a new batch of fellows. 🙌 What better way to do so than with some guided fieldwork at Flushing International High School! Thank you to our partners for welcoming us and offering rich experiences to our students' professional development. Special shoutout to one of our 2025 fellows, Sofia, for imparting her wisdom and sharing her experiences with our brand new fellows. 🫶 Above all, welcome to our 2026 Cohort! 📝

This week we're honoring Peace Corps Week and the 65th Anniversary of the agency's founding. Since President John F. Kennedy established the agency on March 1, 1961, close to 250,000 volunteers have served in 144 counties.

This week, we pay tribute to all who are currently serving and those have returned from their service. We especially celebrate our past, present, and future fellows, who continue their commitment to positive change by serving high needs NYC schools and their communities 💙

If you would like to engage in the same service as these incredible individuals, then please visit peacecorps.gov for more information.

Throwback to one of our professional development seminars with our fellows! 🤔🧠✨

PD offers a good moment for us to simultaneously build upon our skills while also getting together as a cohort. Looking forward to more moments like these to come in 2026!

Such a wonderful time celebrating our current Fellows and all that they had accomplished in 2025! As they gear up for the new semester, it was great to sit down over a meal and reflect on their journeys so far - in and out of the classroom!
