This year, HRI celebrated 20 years since its founding with an anniversary series "Resist, Decolonize, Create." This series, enabling critical dialogue on topical human rights issues with leaders in the field.

Speakers included Zeid Ra'ad Al Hussein, former UN High Commissioner for Human Rights; Yvette Alberdingk-Thijm, UNICEF Executive Director; Mayor of Jackson, Mississippi Chokwe Lumumba and many more.
