Unity Preparatory Charter School of Brooklyn

On Friday, Unity High School students proudly showcased their artwork at a locally gallery in Williamsburg. They were joined by staff, families, and community members for a celebration of creativity and achievement.

The exhibit featured original works created in Ms. Gjakova’s and Ms. Fortenot’s art classes, highlighting the talent, hard work, and artistic growth of our students.

Congratulations to our young artists for sharing their work with the community, and thank you to the families and supporters who helped make this special event such a success!!

Congratulations to Reginald F. and Kingston S. on their senior night! Both young men gave their all to the program, and we appreciate everything they have done for Unity Boys Volleyball.

Last week, UPHS Physics students brought science to life during the Unity Prep High School Physics Science Fair!

From exploring why water and alcohol separate with salt to tackling the famous “egg in a bottle” challenge, scholars designed and presented experiments that blended creativity, scientific thinking, and hands-on problem solving.

Students proudly shared their procedures, findings, and explanations while putting their presentation skills on full display.

Inspired by former First Lady Michelle Obama, Unity High recently celebrated College Signing Day, bringing together seniors, families, and staff to honor the Class of 2026; students proudly announced their postsecondary plans.

The celebration was filled with gratitude, excitement, and applause as seniors recognized the people who supported them along their journey and shared their next steps with the community.

You’re invited to a powerful celebration of student voice, culture, and creativity at our End-of-Year Roundtables & Student-Curated Dance Performances!

This year’s theme is “Honoring New York City Culture” — a tribute to the music, movement, and cultural icons who have shaped generations. Through reflective roundtable presentations and dynamic teacher and student-curated dance pieces, we’ll celebrate the rhythms, stories, and creativity that continue to influence and inspire New York culture and communities. We are proud of the heart and hard work our students have put into this event, and can’t wait to share it with you.

Let’s honor the past and celebrate the future—together. If you miss this performance, you will have the opportunity to see it via a digital link or if your scholar chooses to present Dance as one of their roundtable presentations.
