2 Horatio Street is a landmarked residential building located in the Greenwich Village Historic District in downtown New York City.

It faces north onto Horatio Street and Jackson Square Park. And borders Greenwich Avenue to the east. In April 1929 the developer brothers Bing & Bing announced that they had acquired all the necessary land to build five high-end residential buildings in a concerted effort to "recreate" the Greenwich Village neighborhood.

2 Horatio Street was one of the five buildings: the others being 45 Christo

And you can join a resident-run email group (including other neighbors) which then allows each and all to post updates and questions regarding 11 Jane development.

As by now you are likely aware, plans to construct an eight (8) story residential building at the current site of the parking garage on Jane Street between 8th and Greenwich Avenues are well underway.

On Monday, May 16, 2016 at 6:30 p.m., Community Board 2, will host a public hearing to discuss the proposed project in the NYU Silver Building, 32 Waverly Place, rm 206. We strongly encourage that residents of 2 Horatio attend this hearing. While we can be certain that the construction of this building will have a noticeable effect on us with noise, traffic, debris and general activity, it is imperative that we understand the permanent impact caused by the er****on of this building. This is the only Community Board meeting scheduled on the matter where public testimony will be permitted. A strong showing by the residents of 2 Horatio will have a real impact on the Community Board’s consideration regarding the development plan. Anyone wishing to speak openly and have their comments heard and concerns responded to, should be present.

Edward J. Minskoff Equities, the developer will be revealing the site plans and drawings at the hearing and the project manager will be available to answer questions. In addition we have been in touch with a representative for the developer who has extended an offer to meet with 2 Horatio Street separately at a later date if necessary.
