A project of the Research Institute for the Study of Language in Urban Society (RISLUS) & the Ph.D. Program in Urban Education at the CUNY Graduate Center

CUNY-NYSIEB focuses on improving the education of emergent bilingual students in New York State. These students are often referred to as English Language Learners. In New York State they are designated as such by the Language Assessment Battery-Revised (LAB-R) initially, and the New York State English as a Second Language Achievement Test (NYSESLAT) thereafter. 📣📣 NOT TOO YOUNG: IMMIGRATION IN ELEMENTARY SCHOOLS📣📣 is a new video series from the CUNY Initiative on Immigration and Education (CUNY-IIE)! We go into three NY elementary schools - PS 212Q, PS 340X and Children's School of Rochester - to show how they center immigration and education.
