The Dyckman Senior Center in Inwood was recently refurbished thanks to a volunteer event held on site.

Dozens of Spectrum employees joined nonprofit Rebuilding Together NYC to remodel the center, which serves over 700 seniors and is located at the Dyckman Houses public housing facility.

Repairs and renovations were provided on May 20th to improve the center’s appearance and functionality, and Spectrum employee volunteers focused on interior and exterior repairs, including painting, gardening and landscaping.

Kicking off the volunteer event were State Senator Marisol Alcántara, State Assemblymember Carmen De La Rosa, Spectrum News NY1 Noticias anchor Adhemar Montagne and reporter Jonathan Inoa.
