This last weekend, we hosted a Liberation Forum to fight back against Trump’s billionaire-backed, right-wing agenda and how to get organized to build a united working-class movement to resist the attacks on our communities, and how to finally break with the capitalist two-party system!
Trump’s victory represents the complete failure of the Democratic Party to stop the rise of the ultra-right. In fact, they have contributed to it by adopting much of the program of the extreme right while embracing endless war. Instead of responding to the needs of the people, both the Democrats and the Republicans have moved further and further to the right. Trump’s agenda is the culmination of this right-ward spiral, and his administration will move to make major gains for the billionaire class at the expense of the millions of everyday people in the U..S and across the world.
On January 20, we’re taking to the streets for a National Day of Action to fight back on Inauguration Day. Join us in rejecting their agenda of hate and exploitation and building a movement for working-class power.
📍 January 20, 11am, Washington Square Park
✊ Together, we fight. Together, we win.

🎥On Friday, we screened Attica, a documentary on the 1971 Attica prison uprising where New York State troops massacred prisoners who were simply protesting for better and more humane conditions in the prison.
✊🏿We commemorate the revolutionary struggle of political prisoners this Black August through study and community! Thanks to all who joined us for this screening and engaged in thoughtful conversation about what it means to free all political prisoners!
➡️Join us the rest of this month for other Black August programming!

🇵🇸 Next weekend, hundreds of organizers, students, workers, and educators are coming together for the historic People’s Conference for Palestine!
We are supporting efforts to send NYC organizers to the conference but we need your support! Many activists and supporters like yourself have sustained the Palestinian movement for the last 7 months and we need your financial support to get our contingent to Detroit to cover transportation and housing. We’re not done until we see a free Palestine! This convening will take place in Detroit, Michigan and we hope to use this opportunity to share our strategies, highlights, and tactics with each other to bring back to our hometowns.

A packed house for last Friday's Liberation Flicks film screening of "Gaza Fights for Freedom", a powerful and emotional documentation of Gaza's Great March of Return directed by the Empire Files. As we fight for Palestine's liberation, we must continue to educate ourselves and our community with all forms of media! "Gaza Fights for Freedom" is available on YouTube for all to stream. Join us in the streets as we demand freedom for Palestine

Collective Liberation Series returned this weekend at the People's Church! Our monthly popular education session covered the recent MTA fare hikes and dispelled the City and State narrative that these rate increases are needed to “balance the budget.” If we tax Wall Street stock transactions in New York State by just 1%, it would be more than enough money to fully fund the NYC subway system!
We deserve a free MTA system and we can make it possible! Join us for our upcoming community discussion!

JUSTICE FOR JORDAN NEELY!
Jordan Neely was murdered by white vigilante violence who was enabled by our racist, capitalist system that failed to provide him stable housing, mental heath support, and employment. Witness accounts say that Neely was expressing frustration with being hungry and thirsty moments before 24-year old white ex-marine choked him for 15 minutes. This is the latest in a long history of vigilante violence in this country used to intimidate Black people — this was a modern day lynching! Jordan Neely needed food and adequate housing but instead, our racist, capitalist system facilitated his murder for experiencing homelessness.
Join us in Washington Square Park tomorrow at 6pm to demand an end to white supremacist vigilante terror and for charges against Jordan's killer!

Yesterday we joined to rally around the Secure Jobs Act, which would prohibit employees from firing workers without just cause. The rally took place at the JFK8 Amazon Warehouse in Staten Island, where workers have been organizing since 2020 against unsafe conditions, union busting, and retaliatory and unjust firings. We were honored to be in the midst of the powerful organizers who are inspiring workers across the country to exercise their collective power and fight for better working conditions!

Stop the violence against the Peruvian people! We are standing in solidarity with our Peruvian comrades who are facing brutal attacks from state forces after the illegal ousting of President Pedro Castillo. Journalists and protestors have been attacked and murdered in their efforts to expose the truth about what is happening in Peru.
Join us this Friday, March 31 across the UN building!

John Collado was fatally shot by police in 2011 on his way to buy groceries. NYC PSL has worked with John's nephew Joshua over the years to petition the city to rename the street where his uncle lived and was murdered to John Collado Way. Join us for the street renaming ceremony on what would have been John's 54th birthday. We'll celebrate this victory alongside other families of police brutality and others committed to ending racist police terror! Many members of John’s family would like to attend if possible — please donate to GoFundMe https://www.gofundme.com/f/john-collado-street-renaming
