We went to Albany again with coalition & + other elected leaders to demand bring SUNNY to a vote so families across NY can access affordable, clean, plug in solar! ☀️☀️☀️

After yesterday’s disastrous budget vote, the Assembly needs to LEAD and pass as much climate legislation as possible, including SUNNY, a data center moratorium and PPRIA, to reduce plastic waste. No excuses.

It’s time for the Assembly to pass this common sense legislation to legalize affordable, plug-in, balcony solar so millions of New Yorkers, including working families like ours, can start saving money and lowering emissions.

It’s also time for our state lawmakers to stand firm in defending our state’s climate progress because the truth is affordability and climate action go hand in hand, and because our kids are already paying the price of costly, polluting fossil fuels.

Hochul herself said her changes weren’t going to save consumers money. We all know that oil and gas is not affordable - for our wallets or for our climate. The price is already too high and the world is already too hot 🥵
Solar energy is cheap and harnesses FREE energy from the sun.. what’s not to love??! ☀️❤️
