Borough President Vito Fossella honored four educators with the 2025 & 2026 Patrick F. Daly Awards for educational excellence at an awards ceremony in Borough Hall on Wednesday.
The Patrick F. Daly Award, established in 1993, honors former P.S. 15 Principal Patrick F. Daly, who dedicated his career and life to the betterment of his students and tragically died in 1992 while searching for a missing student in the Red Hook Houses.
Lawrence Musanti, Diana McKenna, Gary Tames and Brian Stephens are the 2025 and 2026 honorees.
Lawrence Musanti is the principal at Monsignor Farrell High School; Diana McKenna is a third-grade teacher at Bridge Preparatory Charter School; Gary Tames has served as an administrator at Totten Intermediate School 34 for 15 years, and Brian Stephens is a music teacher at P.S. 29.
Thank you to the Port Richmond High School Culinary Arts Academy for serving delicious food.
Congratulations to the honorees -- it was a truly wonderful and inspiring evening.
