Yesterday, our Executive Deputy Commissioner Ryan Murray testified before the NYS Assembly Committee on Aging to advocate for more resources for Expanded In-Home Services for the Elderly Program, which funds critically important supports for homebound older adults.

🌟 Older New Yorker of the Week 🌟 Meet Sau King Chan, a 75-year-old music teacher from Hong Kong who’s been uplifting spirits in New York since 2008! A dedicated volunteer at Homecrest Community Services, Ms. Chan has spent over a decade teaching Cantonese Opera in Bensonhurst and Sheepshead Bay, sharing her passion and making this beautiful art form accessible to everyone. During challenging times, her daily calls to students have brought comfort and connection. Join us in celebrating Ms. Chan, whose love for opera, travel, and fostering new relationships continues to enrich our community.
