From planting trees and reducing plastic use to embracing renewable energy, every small step counts. This Earth Day, we rise with the theme “Our Power, Our Planet” which is a global call to accelerate renewable energy and restore balance with nature.

The target is ambitious- triple global renewable energy generation by 2030.

But as glaciers melt and forests disappear, Earth reminds us that we can’t afford to wait.

This year’s theme isn’t just a slogan; it’s a challenge to turn our power into purpose.

And that’s exactly what we’re doing.

At Give Bangladesh Foundation, we believe that restoring forests is just as essential as rethinking energy. Why?- Because both fight climate change, one by absorbing carbon, the other by avoiding it. Both require local action. Both lead to a more resilient planet. From cyclone-struck coasts to sun-scorched soils, we’ve planted over 53,600 trees from 2020-2023- with 50,000 more just rooted in Dumuria, Khulna under Project Oxygen 4.0 in 2024.

Our goal? 500,000 trees in 10 years.
Our belief? Local hands can heal a global crisis.

Forests and clean energy are two sides of the same solution. Together, they make the planet breathe better, live longer, and stand stronger.

Because Earth Day isn’t just a date.It’s a decision to act, to plant, to power change.Our power is action. Our planet is ours to save.

We speak in over 7,142 languages, each holding at least three distinct accents,
Echoing the beauty of human expression.

There are 710+ flags that fly high, there are major minor groups has their own flag.
287 regions, 264 territories, and 234 states,
Within 197 recognized nations that paint this world with their unique colors.

Among us thrive 7,290+ tribes and indigenous communities,
Guardians of ancient wisdom and cultural richness.
And hidden in corners of devotion lie over 210 million religious texts,
Not widely known, yet deeply sacred.

The Colors of Faith Unity in Diversity

Every religion carries within it a universe of sects and traditions,
Each one a unique path, a sacred interpretation of the divine.

In Islam, there are over 17 sects from Sunni and Shia to Bohra,
Each reflecting diverse schools of thought and culture.

Christianity holds more than 100 sects,
Including Catholic, Protestant, Orthodox, and many more
Each with its own way of understanding love, faith, and salvation.

Judaism, too, branches into over 10 sects, Orthodox Jews Hasidic Jews and more
Each preserving ancient traditions and wisdom across generations.

When it comes to Hinduism, diversity flourishes
From Vaishnavism, Shaivism, Shaktism, Smartism, to Matua and Balinese traditions and Sindhi traditions
Over 650 sects, all coexisting in a tapestry of rich spiritual heritage.

Buddhism embraces over 15 sects,
Including Mahayana, Theravada, Vajrayana, Gen Buddhism and others,
Each guiding followers toward enlightenment in unique ways.

And beyond the paths of the theist,
There are those who walk with reason and wonder the Atheists,
And those who remain open yet questioning the Agnostics.

This world is a symphony of belief and non-belief,
A mosaic of thought, culture, and devotion.
