Heartbroken by the death of a 15-year-old following last night’s e-bike collision at East 14th Street and First Avenue. My thoughts are with her loved ones grieving this unimaginable loss, and I’m wishing the other young rider a full recovery.

The investigation remains ongoing, and I am closely following it as we learn more.

A 15-year-old girl was killed and a 16-year-old girl was injured as both teens rode on a single electric Citi Bike when they were struck by a heavy-duty industrial truck in Manhattan’s East Village, cops said Friday.

Ahead of Intro. 0874 being heard at today's Small Business Committee hearing, Chair Shanel Thomas-Henry joined me in District 4 to visit Lexington Candy Shop, Mary Arnold Toys, and Butterfield Market.

My bill would create NYC’s first Legacy Business Registry and Preservation Fund — giving the city new tools to recognize longtime small businesses and help keep them in our neighborhoods for generations to come.
