Join us during the lunchtime this Thursday, March 28th in Room W420 for an important panel discussion on the issue of anti-LGBTQ+ hate crimes in New York City, as well as ongoing efforts to address these problems manifesting in our community. Lunch will be provided.

From trailblazing activists to artists, scholars, and everyday heroes, this Black History Month we celebrate the vibrant intersection of Blackness and queerness and the many ways it has shaped our world. From Bayard Rustin, a prominent civil rights leader and an openly gay man who organized the historic March on Washington in 1963, to Marsha P. Johnson and Sylvia Rivera, transgender activists who played instrumental roles in the Stonewall Riots, there is a rich history to explore and celebrate.

Their contributions to the LGBTQ+ rights movement have paved the way for progress, reminding us that when we fight for equality for one, we advance it for all. ✨
