Next Wednesday, join North Star Fund and giving communities across the US for an action-oriented webinar on February 25.

Don’t miss this moment of cross-national solidarity, with voices rising from Minneapolis, Los Angeles, Chicago, the Carolinas and Philadelphia. As ICE raids escalate in communities across the country, we’ll come together to move from urgency to action—grounding our response in powerful, intentional Giving Plans.

In this unique webinar, you’ll hear directly from a local social justice fund and learn from organizers about how donors can best show up for movements. Discover on-the-ground movement needs—and develop a Giving Plan that aligns with your values.

Money for the Movement is co-sponsored by:
- Bread & Roses Community Fund ( )
- Crossroads Fund ( )
- Cypress Fund ( )
- Headwaters Foundation for Justice ( )
- Liberty Hill Foundation ( )

You’ve probably played Lotería with friends and family before, or maybe this is your first time.

Either way, we can guarantee you’ve never seen the classic game like this. This holiday season, we’re introducing North Star Fund-themed Lotería cards.

Presenting 12 vibrant cards that reflect our values, our history and impactful moments from this year. Through bold colors and imagery, these cards celebrate our mission and honor this tradition.

Today, we’re choosing to turn into Thanking Tuesday. On a day that is filled with noise and urgency, we want to slow down and recognize those whose commitment makes this work possible.

We’re living in a moment where it’s all too easy to feel overwhelmed by despair. At a time of national struggle and escalating threats to our communities at home, building a just world feels heavier than ever.

In these dark times, North Star Fund offers an antidote. A community-driven approach that centers justice and connection. Whether you just learned about us or have been a long-time supporter, you are part of the collective effort to build real and lasting change.

Today, we simply want to say thank you.

Thank you for standing with grassroots organizers and for standing with us.

We are proud to announce our 2025 Action Report. We highlight the work of the 150+ grantees North Star Fund supports in New York City and the Hudson Valley. They have tackled pressing issues: immigration rights, land stewardship, school-to-prison pipeline and so much more.

We’re in awe of North Star Fund grantee partners, who have risen with courage to be at the frontlines of local advocacy. They’re fighting for the safety and dignity of their neighbors. They forge the path toward justice. They empower and mobilize their community members to speak out and know their rights. Beyond the hype of election season, they continue to do this work everyday.

We celebrate our grantees and their accomplishments. Yet the road ahead calls for deeper commitment and investment. Now is the time to stand firm, resource boldly and push toward a world rooted in justice.

Her words remind us that imagination and courage are the roots of lasting change in and beyond.
