Taking HIV Prevention to the Streets!

Today, in recognition of National Latino AIDS Awareness Day (NLAAD), the Iris House team is out in the Bronx providing free HIV testing, prevention education, and resources to our community!

In partnership with the Latino Commission on AIDS, we’re working to increase access to HIV testing, reduce stigma, and empower individuals to take charge of their s*xual health.

A special thank you to our dedicated staff for continuing to meet communities where they are and making HIV prevention services more accessible.

This National Latino AIDS Awareness Day, Iris House is taking HIV testing and prevention directly into the community.

On October 15, Iris House is partnering with the Latino Commission on AIDS for a free HIV testing event in the Bronx in recognition of National Latino AIDS Awareness Day (NLAAD).

Knowing your status is an important part of taking charge of your health. Stop by, meet our team, learn more about HIV prevention and resources, and get tested for free.

October is LGBTQ+ History Month. One of the greatest legends in the fight for trans and q***r liberation was Cecilia Gentili. Through her advocacy, she fought for the rights of transgender people, immigrants, and s*x workers. Through her capacity as a leader, she championed campaigns to end the HIV epidemic as well as speak up for those who are marginalized in our society. Her work and legacy can never be forgotten, as her impact was felt throughout the LGBTQ+ community.
