Roseville Community Charter School hosted our 7th annual Kings Who Read ~ Dr. MLK Literacy Event, a special day dedicated to celebrating literacy, leadership, and the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. This annual January tradition honors Dr. King’s love for reading and his strong advocacy for education.

Our scholars were inspired by guest readers, fathers, father-figures, and community leaders who shared stories and encouraged a love of reading. The event continues to grow each year, strengthening the connection between our school and the broader community while helping our scholars see that reading is powerful, meaningful, and for everyone.

Thank you to all of our guest readers and community partners who helped make this day impactful and memorable for our scholars.

Today marks an exciting milestone as we celebrate 100 days of learning, growing, and showing up for one another. Over the past 100 days, our scholars have worked hard, tried new things, built confidence, and made so much progress, both in and out of the classroom.

This milestone is a celebration of the curiosity, effort, and resilience our scholars bring each day, and the supportive school community that helps make learning fun and meaningful.

Wishing everyone a joyful, fun-filled, and memorable 100th Day of School! 📚✨

On Thursday, Dec. 11th at 6pm, it was "Standing Room Only" as our talented Music Teacher, Mr. Edwards, led our amazing scholars in performing our annual "Winter Wonderland Music Concert"! The scholars were excited and actively engaged throughout the performance, which included singing performances of a variety of holiday favorite songs, superb solo performances, a magical performance from our first "Recorder Band", a dance performance from our CHEERleaders, and an amazing performance from our "Double-Dutch Club" scholars too! This concert represents the culmination of all our scholars have learned within our music program this first semester. As the finale, the entire RCCS community came together to sing "Feliz Navidad'! It was a sight to behold with scholars holding up hand held lights as the entire community sang together! What an awesome way to begin the winter holiday season! 🎄🔔🎁
