ππ» CHALLENGE ACCEPTED! ππ₯
Our local Wayne County Sheriff's Office has challenged area fire departments to create their very own Halloween patchβ¦ and Marbletown Fire Department is joining in on the spooky fun! ππ
We decided to put a little Halloween twist on our department patch, and here's what we came up with! πΈοΈπ¦
As Halloween approaches, we want to remind all our little ghosts, goblins, witches, and superheroes to stay safe while enjoying the spooky season!
π HALLOWEEN SAFETY REMINDERS: π
π» Trick-or-Treat with an Adult: Younger children should always be accompanied by a responsible adult.
π Watch for Vehicles: Look both ways before crossing the street, use crosswalks whenever possible, and never assume a driver sees you!
π¦ Be Seen: Carry flashlights, use glow sticks, or add reflective material to costumes so drivers can see you.
π¬ Check Your Candy: Have a parent or guardian inspect treats before digging in!
π Stay in Well-Lit Areas: Stick to familiar neighborhoods and only approach homes with their porch lights on.
π§ Choose Safe Costumes: Make sure costumes fit properly, don't block your vision, and aren't a tripping hazard.
π Drivers, Slow Down! Be extra cautious in neighborhoods and watch for excited trick-or-treaters crossing the road.
π₯ Fire Safety Matters Too! Use battery-operated candles in jack-o'-lanterns and keep costumes and decorations away from open flames.
π Remember, the only thing we want to be scary this Halloween is your costume β NOT your safety! π»
From all of us at Marbletown Fire Department, have a SPOOKTACULAR, fun, and SAFE Halloween! πππ¦
Stay Safe, Stay Spooky, and Look Out for One Another!
