The Stewart Air National Guard Fire Department hosted Aircraft Rescue and Firefighting (ARFF) live-burn training for career and military personnel from May 5–7. We would like to extend our sincere appreciation to our mutual aid partners and surrounding departments who participated in this year’s training exercise. Their participation and collaboration contributed greatly to the success of this valuable training opportunity.

We would also like to thank Wing Commander Brigadier General Dannemann and Deputy MSG Commander Lt. Colonel Forrester for attending and participating in the exercise. Their presence and involvement meant a great deal to our firefighters, providing leadership with firsthand insight into the challenges and responsibilities our personnel face in the field.

A special thank you to the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey for providing the use of their aircraft fire training simulator, as well as to their personnel whose support and expertise helped make this training possible. Their contribution provided invaluable hands-on experience and enhanced the knowledge, skills, and preparedness of all participating members.
