π’ Important Announcement π’
In accordance with the Coweta County Code of Ordinances, Project Oak held a community meeting on Monday, May 18 that was open to the public. It is important to note that Coweta County did not host the meeting nor approve any plans that were presented by the applicant or their representatives. The Code of Ordinances requires the applicant to describe the project, including site plans, building elevations, and a view shed analysis from the public rights of way. Applicants often provide additional information to the public through various means.
Regardless of the community meetings held, every rezoning petition undergoes a thorough review to ensure compliance with the Code of Ordinances, all relevant conditions, and the technical requirements tied to both the rezoning process and any subsequent permitting. The findings from this review are systematically compiled and then shared with the applicant, the Board, and the public through a detailed staff report before the formal public hearing takes place. As it stands, the public hearing for Project Oak is tentatively scheduled for Tuesday, July 21, 2026.
