⛈️ Severe Weather Update

Newnan Utilities is closely monitoring Hurricane Isaias as weather conditions could impact our area tonight and into the weekend. While our area is currently under a lower risk for severe weather, we encourage customers to remain weather-aware and prepared.

Gusty winds and periods of heavy rainfall could bring down trees and power lines, potentially resulting in power outages. As a precaution, we encourage customers to charge electronic devices and have flashlights and emergency supplies readily available.

Our crews are prepared to respond and restore power as quickly and safely as conditions allow.

Safety Reminder: Stay away from downed power lines and always assume they are energized.

💙 Caring Customers Making a Difference!

We’re proud to support Coweta Ferst Readers, Inc. Coweta Ferst Readers through a Caring Customers grant! Each month, they deliver free books to local children from birth to age 5, helping little readers build a love of reading and get ready for school.

We loved meeting Pat, Linda, and Ann, who have volunteered with Coweta Ferst Readers for nearly 20 years. Their passion for helping local children shines through!

“What do you want to be when you grow up?”

For Passion Day at Elm Street Elementary, one student dressed up like his dad, a member of our Newnan Utilities team. From the boots to the NU vest, he nailed it!

We think Dad has a pretty great sidekick. 🦺
