💉💙 Protecting Our Community, One Flu Shot at a Time!

Thank you to Southeastern Virginia Health System for providing FREE flu shots to residents of Berkley South Apartments! We had 17 residents participate, taking an important step toward staying healthy this flu season.

A special thank you to nurses Patricia David and Eryn Swanhaus, along with Dixie DeLutis, BSN, RN, Director of Nursing, for helping make this event a success!

💙 Thank You, Colony Auto Enthusiast Car Club!

We are grateful to Walt Zaenker and the Colony Auto Enthusiast Car Club for their generous $2,000 donation to PAA’s RIDES Transportation Program!

The donation comes from the club’s recent car show, held on September 13, 2026, in Colonial Williamsburg.

For the past 12 years, the club has proudly selected our RIDES program as its charity of choice, helping us continue providing vital transportation services to older adults in our community.

Together We Care: Community Caregivers Summit!💙

Peninsula Agency on Aging is proud to support the upcoming Community Caregivers Summit on Saturday, November 14, 2026, at Christopher Newport University!

This event will feature a screening of the award-winning documentary Remember Me: Dementia in the African American Community, followed by a community discussion with an expert panel.

Attendees will also have the opportunity to connect with community partners, explore caregiver resources, and gain valuable information and support. Lunch will be provided!
