Thank you, Newport Fire Department, for stopping by for a visit! We appreciate you taking the time to spend the morning with us and give the kids such a fun hands-on experience!

The kids had so much fun exploring the fire truck, sitting in the back, checking out all the equipment! We had such a fun and exciting visit!🚒 🔥 🧑‍🚒

Our little learners had a special visit from a local firefighter in celebration of Fire Prevention Week!

The children learned about fire safety, explored the equipment firefighters use to keep us safe, and even got an up-close look at a real fire truck! 🚒👩‍🚒

It was a fun and exciting hands-on learning experience that helped our children understand the important role firefighters play in keeping our community safe.

A huge THANK YOU to our visiting firefighter for taking the time to teach our children, answer their questions, and make this experience so memorable! ❤️

Have a little one who would love to join in on all the fun and learning at HOMETOWN Health Childcare Center? Reach out to us today at (207)368-2887 or [email protected] to learn more about enrollment and how to become part of our HOMETOWN family!

🚒 Congratulations to Firefighter Kyle Merchant and Firefighter Rowan Valor on graduating from the Penobscot County Fire Academy! 🚒
These two firefighters have spent the last three months preparing through our in-house academy, training every Thursday night with department members before taking on an intense two-week academy experience.
Their dedication, hard work, and willingness to sacrifice time away from their jobs and personal lives to achieve this accomplishment speaks volumes about their character and commitment to the fire service.
We are incredibly proud of both of you and all that you have accomplished. Congratulations on this well-earned achievement!
Well done, Kyle and Rowan! 👏🔥

Theres no I in team and this past week proved that! Newport fire department tackled a tractor trailer fire by cooling it down and escorting it to the Newport transfer station. Thanks to teamwork with state troopers, Newport police, and the transfer station, the interstate stayed open and the issue was resolved in less than 2 hours. Teamwork!
