The Purpose of the Newport Citizens Organization is:
• to foster, develop, promote and coordinate the social welfare of the City of Newport, Minnesota,
• to educate the Citizens of Newport about those issues which impact the social welfare of the community and promote good governance,
• to provide a forum whereby the Citizens of Newport can review, discuss, debate and seek common ground on issues which are relevant to the overall social, economic and environmental well being of the community.
