Hi there! We figured now would be a good time to reintroduce ourselves!

We're the Fort Adams Trust — the nonprofit working behind the scenes (and sometimes quite literally inside the walls 👀) to preserve, restore, and bring this incredible historic landmark to life!

From restoring spaces that have been closed for generations to hosting free summer concerts, community gatherings, and special events, we work year-round to make Fort Adams a place everyone can enjoy.

And now, we're asking our community to show up for us. ❤️

The Block Party is our annual fundraiser, happening Saturday, October 24, and every ticket purchased directly supports the preservation of Fort Adams and the experiences our community loves.

We show up for our community all year long, and now we're asking you to return the love!

A seat at the table for EVERYONE! 💙♿

We are excited to welcome Tina’s Table to Fort Adams!
Thanks to the generosity of Real Access Motivates Progress, a new fully accessible community table has been installed outside our Visitor Center!

Unlike traditional picnic tables, Tina’s Table is thoughtfully designed to accommodate up to three wheelchairs, allowing everyone to sit alongside family and friends. It also provides space for service dogs, strollers, and more.

At Fort Adams, we believe everyone deserves to feel welcome, included, and comfortable enjoying this historic space. This table is another meaningful step toward making the Fort accessible to all.

A huge thank you to Tina Pedersen, RAMP, and everyone who helped make this possible!

After a busy weekend, Fort Adams is back open for tours as usual! 🏰

Walk through history, hear the stories of the people who lived and served here, explore the powerful structure built to defend Narragansett Bay, and take in some of the best views in Newport.

Starting Sunday, October 4, Hidden Gem will be open Friday–Sunday from 8 AM–2 PM. They will also be open on Monday, October 12!

Come grab your favorite coffee and enjoy a fall day at Fort Adams before the season comes to a close. 🍁
