Join us on Saturday, October 17th to celebrate Howard Mansfield, winner of the 2026 Sarah Josepha Hale Award. Tickets for the Award Dinner are still available for purchase! The ceremony begins at 7:00pm at the Newport Opera House and is free and open to the public.

Morgan Hill Bookstore will be there with copies of Howard’s upcoming release, Invisible Monuments, available ahead of its official release on October 20th. We’re excited to be part of this celebration and share Howard’s newest book with you!

The Richards Free Library will be closed on Monday, October 12th, in observance of Columbus Day/Indigenous Peoples Day. We will reopen on Tuesday, October 13th at 10 am!
