***Social Media Trend Poses Fire Risk***
A series of "fire challenges" are emerging on social media platforms that involve spreading flammable liquids on surfaces or even on one's clothes and then igniting the liquids. The participants must then extinguish the fire before it harms them or spreads.

This is obviously extremely dangerous due to the unpredictable nature of flammable liquids that tend to vaporize rapidly. There are multiple cases of individuals attempting the challenge in Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, and Louisiana that have left participants with serious burns and needing to be placed on ventilators.

It's important parents and caregivers be aware of these trends and discuss the financial, physical, and psychological toll serious burns can cause with those in their care. This trend also places those in the household and even neighbors at risk should this behavior cause a fire inside the home.
