Military members, veterans, and their family members in need. 501(c)(3) and registered with NH DOJ Charitable Trusts Div: #32881 Our Great Uncle Michael O'Connell (WW I - U.S. Army - Distinguished Service Cross), and our Uncle Michael O'Connell (WW II - U.S. Their story inspired us to give back, and assist our returning soldiers, veterans, and their families. Our goal is to make daily life of these men and women a little easier. This could be in the form of helping to pay for some medical bills, mortgage payments, utilities, and other daily needs we tend to take for granted but could be the difference in helping our heroes stay focused on their healing and transition goals.

When a veteran reaches out for assistance, the need is rarely abstract -- itโ€™s immediate, pressing, and critical to their stability.
The O'Connell Valor Fund, Inc. was able to respond to two urgent requests this week.
๐ŸŽ“ Supporting a student veteran
We provided emergency assistance to cover summer camp tuition for the 4-year-old son of a veteran. This support gave her the dedicated, uninterrupted time she needed to focus on her coursework and continue working toward her degree.
๐Ÿ’ก Keeping the lights on
We also provided immediate assistance to a 58-year-old Air Force veteran facing an electric shut-off notice, helping ensure his home remained powered, safe, and secure.

Recently, Oโ€™Connell Valor Fund was honored to help a veteran family in NH give their child something special โ€” the chance to attend summer camp.

This family has faced years of hardship, including health issues, unemployment, and periods of homelessness while living in their car and in motels. They are now working to rebuild their lives with the help of federal veteran assistance services.

Their request was not for housing or bills, but for their child, who turns 12 in just a few days โ€” a chance to enjoy a week of summer camp, something they have never been able to afford before.

Because of your support, we were able to help make that possible.

Sometimes helping a veteran family means more than meeting basic needs. Sometimes it means giving a child the opportunity to feel included, make memories, and simply enjoy being a kid.

Recently, a VA case manager contacted us about a veteran who had been the primary caregiver for his sister. After she passed away unexpectedly, he was struggling to cover the remaining cost of her cremation.

Another organization was able to contribute $800, but he was still short $700.

Because of your support, the O'Connell Valor Fund was able to step in and cover the remaining balance so he could lay his sister to rest.

This is exactly why our organization exists โ€” to provide fast, practical support when veterans face unexpected hardship.

Thank you to everyone who helps make moments like this possible.

THANK YOU!
Because of your incredible generosity, we've successfully completed our holiday fundraiser for a deserving veteran family. Your support has allowed us to pay off their outstanding electric bill and car payment, giving them one less burden to carry this season.
This is what community looks like. This is what supporting those who served truly meansโ€”not just gratitude in words, but action when it matters most. To every donor, every share, every person who spread the word: you made a direct, immediate impact on a family's life. They can keep their lights on, their vehicle running, and their hope alive because you stepped up. From the O'Connell Valor Fund family to yoursโ€”thank you for proving that veterans never have to face their struggles alone.
