Picture make-ups and retakes for high school students are happening this Thursday from 10:15 to 2:30 PM in the auditorium. For underclassmen, this is the picture that will be in the yearbook, and this is the ID photo for all grades.

Students who are here all afternoon should come down when their grade levels are called, which will begin after lunches and after our Career Tech students arrive back on campus. Those who have early release, a PM internship, or a college class should not wait to be called — they may come whenever they're available starting at 10:15 AM. Cyber students may come any time from 10:15 to 2:30; just sign in at the office before coming to the auditorium.

The senior class photo is being taken on Wednesday, October 7, at noon on the turf field, weather permitting. Should it rain, the photo will be taken in the gym.

The photo will be printed in the yearbook and is also available for purchase after photo day at shop.legacystudios.com using code 4724P27.

Congratulations to our homecoming royalty! Grace Long was crowned queen and Nathan Baranoski was crowned king during tonight's pregame ceremony, the prequel to a 48-7 drumming of Biglerville. Long and Baranoski were joined by the entire court as well as last year's king and queen—Chase Fry and Sophia Gracey—and the 20th anniversary king and queen, teachers Matthew Kump and Chelsey (Long) Piper of the class of 2007.

Congratulations to the 2026-27 Big Spring Homecoming Court! The king and queen will be crowned before the homecoming game as the whole court is recognized. SENIOR PORTRAITS are coming up next week. Legacy Studios, our portrait company, will be at Big Spring on Monday and Tuesday, September 14 & 15, in the high school large group room from 3 to 8 PM. Families are under no obligation to buy portraits from this company, but to be in the senior yearbook, seniors must have portraits taken by them.

Please visit https://seniors.legacystudios.com/big-spring-hs-newville-pa/ to schedule an appointment. When scheduling, make sure the appointment is in the student's name and remember to use a non-school email address since students' internal email accounts do not receive messages from outside the district.

Seniors and senior parents who have not yet scheduled received an email earlier today with more details.

Graduates and families, here is information about two opportunities that might interest you:

Flowers for graduates are being sold by The Commencement Group with pickup for online orders occurring onsite at the ceremony. Orders can be placed here: https://www.thecommencementgroup.com/bigspringhs/

Legacy Studios will be selling graduation photos after next week's ceremony. About 1-2 weeks after the event, photos can be viewed online at events.legacystudios.com with the gallery password 4724H26.

Questions about both flowers and pictures should be directed to the vendors themselves.
