Our thoughts and prayers to the family, both blood and Gray. Prayers for the Dispatchers and First responders that worked this scene.

Today, we face one of the most difficult moments an agency can endure as we announce the loss of one of our own. Trooper Hayden Phillips, Unit 369, made the ultimate sacrifice while
patrolling I-65 in Warren County. He was assigned to Post 3 Bowling Green and was a graduate of Cadet Class 103. His dedication to duty and commitment to the commonwealth will not
be forgotten.
Our hearts break for Trooper Phillips’ family, loved ones, and fellow troopers as we grieve this tremendous loss. We will carry his memory with us, honor the life he lived and the badge he wore, and stand together as an agency to support this family in the days ahead.

FYI: There Sheriff's Office and Courthouse is closed tomorrow due to the Downtown Days Festival.

Starting early morning on Friday morning September 11th, through late afternoon on Sunday September 13th, traffic will be shut down for the Downtown Days festival as indicated on this map. Parking will be mainly be off site with shuttle service. The Jessamine County Courthouse will be closed on Friday.

IMPORTANT TRAFFIC INFORMATION

Early Friday morning, we will begin closing portions of the downtown area ahead of ‘Downtown Days’.

By 8:00 am, Main Street - between Chestnut Street and Oak Street - will be closed. Both Chestnut Street and Oak Street WILL remain open.

The attached image denotes passable routes, which are marked in green. Red indicates road closures.

We have relayed this plan to the Jessamine County School System and expect pickups, shuttles, and drop-offs to occur as normal while adhering to these alternate routes.

We also wanted to make commuters aware of this plan and provide adequate advance notice as everyone travels to and from work on Friday.

Update: Roadway back open.
Please avoid the area.

UPDATE - our officers have cleared the scene, and all lanes of traffic are now open.

We have responded to a collision on US27 at KY 169.

At this time, all lanes of traffic on US27 are closed at the intersection.

Our Collision Reconstruction Unit is responding to the scene. Expect a prolonged closure of said roadway as the investigation progresses.

We ask that you avoid this area and utilize alternate routes of travel.
