Before you head to Nisswa for the Freedom Days parade this Friday, take a look at the parade route and road closures.

📍 Parade starts at the corner of Poplar Avenue & Main Street and travels south through downtown Nisswa.
🌟 NEW THIS YEAR: Spectator viewing has been extended to Poplar Avenue, giving everyone more room to enjoy the parade!

‼️PLEASE NOTE:
• Roy Lake Connection to Poplar Avenue will be CLOSED for parade lineup. if you turn onto Roy Lake Connection you will be rerouted back to the highway.
• No downtown access from Poplar Avenue during lineup

July 3rd - Freedom Days

5:00pm - Lower Cullen Road will be closed to all traffic from Roy Lake Connection to Poplar Avenue for the parade lineup. Please utilize Nisswa Avenue or County Road 18 to enter or exit the downtown area at this time.

5:00pm - All of Main Street and Lower Cullen Road will be closed to parking on both sides of the road.

6:00pm - All of Main Street and Lower Cullen Road will be closed to all traffic.

All day- The community center parking lot will be closed for fireworks setup. Please do not walk around the barricades or into the setup area.

4:00pm - 11:00pm The Nisswa Chamber of Commerce is offering free shuttle service from Timberwood Church to the downtown area. Using the shuttle is strongly encouraged as parking will be limited in the downtown area.

No parking on State Highway 371.

Please be mindful of the parking restrictions. Vehicles left in the areas after these times will be ticketed and towed.

Streets will open to traffic and parking again with the conclusion of the parade.

FYI,

This is Raul Ruugla, a university student from Estonia. He is doing a summer exchange program selling educational books for families. Raul has obtained the appropriate permit from the City of Nisswa and will be going door to door in the area.
