ROAD CLOSURE: UPDATE

SR445 (Pyramid Highway) remains closed between Axe Handle Canyon Rd and SR446.
There is currently no estimated time of re-opening.

-SR446 is open with no access to SR445.

For those leaving Sutcliffe for appointments in Reno, you will have to go to I80 to do so.

Would like to let all travelers unfamiliar with afternoon WB I-80 traffic that there are constant stand-stills and crashes that don’t always clear up in an orderly fashion.

Leave for your appointments earlier (advising at least 1-2 hours included in your traveling time from Sutcliffe to Reno). Unfortunately, this is a constant circumstance in afternoon commutes from USA Parkway on the way to Reno.

CARE packages will be taken to the Sutcliffe Community Center, available NOW. Basic supplies, electricty to charge phones, also there will be hot food, for all residents. Please, stop by!

To all the Seniors - Food will be delivered to your home. If you need a delivery, please contact the Numaga Senior Center or the Pyramid Lake Tribal Health Clinic.

Contrary to current news reports, please disregard current news reports that Sutcliffe needs to evacuate now. Remain calm and continue to watch our posts. We will post notice when any danger approaches Sutcliffe from the current fires. At this time, there is no urgency to prepare. Please go the Sutcliffe Community Center to retrieve food and supplies.

PLPT UPDATE: FIRE/POWER/ROAD CLOSURES

- According to NV Energy, the restoration of power to Sutcliffe will depend on pole safety throughout the areas of Bug Fire through the area affected by the fire. At this time, there is no estimate time of restoration.

- SR 446 from Nixon to Sutcliffe is completely open. SR 445, Pyramid Highway, is under National Guard and remains closed. We have no other information about reopening SR 445 at this time.

- Sutcliffe is, currently at 9:19 am, under no urgency for need to evacuate. We will update for sutcliffe Community members to prepare evacuation when the urgency arises. The Bug Fire has not moved towards Sutcliffe since last report. It is currently moving west to 395/California.

- Wadsworth/Olinghouse is NOT under any urgency or threat of the Stallion Fire. There is no movement to report on this fire in their direction. SR 447 is open without restrictions.

- All Tribal operations are business as usual, but please call ahead as there is staff still under admin leave.

There are no other updates at this time, and we will post them once we receive them. Thank you for your understanding and patience.
