⚙️ Advancing engineering excellence! ⚙️

Congratulations to the newest Advanced Engineering Instructors (AEI) graduates! The AEI graduation ceremony featured Capt. Eric Kellum, Chief of Staff, Naval Surface Force Atlantic, as the guest speaker. Capt. Kellum shared insights on operational excellence and leadership to welcome these recognized engineering experts into their critical new roles within the Fleet.

The AEI program is vital to the Surface Force’s tactical and material readiness. Serving as premier planners, thinkers, and teachers, AEI graduates drive maintenance excellence and address complex engineering challenges. These Sailors play a direct role in elevating engineering knowledge across the deckplates, ensuring surface combatants possess the power and reliability required to maintain global maritime superiority.

Meet an AEI.

“I enjoy being an AEI because while in the Navy, one does not get many opportunities to be part of an enterprise changing movement or event, and that is exactly what the AEIs are being trained to do, to insert themselves into the ship’s maintenance process to affect positive change for the benefit of our vessels to keep Navy combatants ready and minimize down time. It excites me to be part of the team that is helping build the professionals that will keep the Navy lethal and effective for years to come”
