🧡 Thankful Thursday

Last week, I lost my uncle, and this past weekend I traveled to Oklahoma for his funeral.

While it was a sad occasion, I couldn’t help but think how much he would have loved seeing everyone together. Family traveled from near and far, and of his more than 40 nieces and nephews, all but four were there! Pretty amazing!

We spent time sharing stories, laughing, crying and remembering the good old days, all while making a few new memories along the way.

It was a great reminder that even during sad times, there is so much to be thankful for.

This Thankful Thursday, I’m thankful for family, the memories we’ve made and the time we get to spend together. 🧡

What are you thankful for this week?

Continuing our examination of American music, we move into the 20th century. There is a vast selection of music with developments in opera, symphonic music, folk music, and jazz. This is an exciting time for the development of musical instruments which are made in and played throughout the United States. The early 20th Century brings us many new venues for music performance. The technology advances of the time influenced our lives and continue to play an important role in our musical enjoyment today. I'm looking forward to sharing the ideas and happenings of this very exciting time for music with you.
