October 2026 Member of the Month

It’s not scary news.. The Member of the Month is selected by vote of the Chief Monsters. The monthly recognized member is selected based on several factors including; positive attitude, work ethic, and overall contributions to the department & fire service. The NBVFD is hauntingly pleased to announce that for October, we recognize spooktastic Bethany Higgs.

Bethany is our main ghoul for fire prevention and community outreach. She is frighteningly gourd at it and during October’s national fire safety month, she stays especially busy coordinating life safety events, the open house, and entertaining the little skeletons & goblins during our terrifically terrifying trunk or treat.

Fangs’ for the great work Bethany!!
