Since the beginning of August, probationary firefighters Nick D’Arcy and Sam Steward have started their Basic Exterior Firefighter Operations (BEFO). BEFO is the one class required for all firefighters to take during their probationary period in our fire company.

At the end of August, FF D’Arcys class in Tonawanda need a few Fire Engines to help with their skill day using hoses, hydrants and deployment of equipment. North Boston Firefighters brought our Engine 4 to assist their class.

This past Saturday, FF Stewards class also needed an Engine for the same skill day. North Boston Firefighters again brought Engine 4 to Scranton to assist with their class.

Nick and Sam continue the great work you guys are doing in class. Both of you are doing really well and we are glad to have you.

Thank you FF’s J. Marchinda, N. Ricotta and Captain Z. Walsh for assisting the students and being around to go to these classes with them.
